There is a place on almost every website where the company tells readers who they are and what they stand for. And this sounds pretty-much the same on every website we’ve seen.
We could do the same thing. We could tell you that we are a family-owned company with over 35 years of experience in the private lending business. We could describe ourselves with words like compassionate, committed, tenacious, and professional. And all of this would be true.
But instead of all that, we’d rather let our customers tell you about us. The stories, like the one below, will really help you understand what we are all about.
The True Story of A Hero on the Courthouse Steps
“A man calls Tony and says he’s about to lose his home to foreclosure. The house is scheduled to be auctioned on the courthouse steps the very next day. Within 24 hours, the man and his family will be homeless and living on the street.”
While this doesn’t happen every day, this actually happened. In this situation, the family facing impending eviction is almost out of options. Traditional banks can’t help. Stopping the auction is nearly impossible. And almost no one wants to drop everything and step up to save the day.
“When Tony got the call and listened to the man’s story, he dropped everything and stepped up. He went to the auction on the courthouse steps and found the person who just bought the house. He convinced the new owner to sell the property back to the family who just lost it, and found the necessary financing to make it happen. The Inside Story of Olympia Mortgage
Tony Torres, a Tampa Native whose family has been living and working in Tampa for four generations, founded Olympia Mortgage Services Inc. in 1989. It is a family-owned business with deep roots in the Tampa community. Before starting Olympia Mortgage, Tony worked for another mortgage company. There he realized his love for helping others and his commitment to service. However, the company he worked for didn’t meet Tony’s professional standards or his core values of treating everyone with respect and dignity.
Instead of looking for a place that met his standards and core values, he decided to start his own company. At Olympia Mortgage Services, Tony sets the standards and finds team members whose core values match his. Those common values create a strong team, with some members working with Tony for 35 years. Tony, along with his wife, Tammy, a third-generation Tampa Native, runs the business to this day.
What We Make
We arrange loans for clients through our network of private lenders. We find private lenders who will loan you money when most financial institutions and other private lenders either turn you down or take advantage of your circumstances by offering bad terms. We close loans and we close them quickly. But at the end of the day, it’s not about what a company makes that matters most, what matters most is what they make happen.
